Our data persistence layer is built on SQLAlchemy, distributed task processing on Python-RQ and ZeroMQ, and our automated deployment management and other internal operations rely on Fabric. We use PostgreSQL as our general data store, as well as Cassandra, Redis, and Memcached where appropriate.

Our codebase is organized as an API-oriented architecture and split into several well-defined projects, all of which are hosted on GitHub.

Montréal's user group of Python programmers was created in late 2007. Since then, the community has grown larger while embracing a wider and wider range of activities.

Montréal-Python is now more than 200 Pythonistas strong. It’s organized by a dedicated team of 6. Monthly meetings, consisting of a main talk and flash presentations, are the traditional rendez-vous. Since 2010, Django documentation translation and packaging sprints were started. This year, Montréal-Python will keep on giving workshops and tutorials, building an ever stronger community by having projects nights.
